This is the first bill from APS (the electric utility) since the solar grid-tie system was installed. The first image below is the breakdown of usage prior to install. The second is the breakdown post-install. That's the kind of bill I can live with now!
Post-install:
In that time period we had a net usage of 6 kWh. Currently we are sitting on a credit of nearly 51kWh as of 8am...and we're already selling back. Probably will be a credit of 80kWh by end of day!

Solar Production Update
Here's the current production number:
Today was another day of some sun and some clouds, on the one really sunny day we've had in the last week, we did close to 43 kWh. So we are waiting for good, full sun days, maybe in a week or so...there are storms forecast for this weekend.
APS (the utility) changed our meter yesterday to the new digital meter. No more "spinning backwards", just numbers--boring.

Second sunny day...

We're online!
As of 12:00pm today, we are officially "online"and generating power. And yes, the meter is spinning backwards! We'll see how much we contribute by evening today, I'll report again then. In the meantime, current production is about 6500 Watts. Bruce Rogers (B.W. Rogers Electric) and Sylvia Cedillo (APS) were the team that inspected and turned on the system today. The whole event lasted about 15 minutes. Thanks to Bruce for the clean install that was so easy to inspect and approve.

Today should be Sun-Day!
According to my reliable source, today is supposed to be the day that APS (our electric company) comes out and commissions our solar electric system. Stand by for news!
